Parents

We have delivered many courses to parents either through the BILD ACT certificated curriculum or using our adapted shorter courses for those that do not require certified training. Holding Hands understand that many parents and carers are using physical interventions without guidance or training and have found a way that works for them. We can offer the most up to date guidance around this and help develop intervention plans that are safe, effective and work for you.

We understand the barriers to parents and carers being available for any length of time and can design the course delivery around your needs, this may be evenings, weekends, a combination of on line and face to face training or delivering the course in smaller chucks to fit into a school day.

We’re committed to parents and carers receiving the same support, training and guidance that paid carers or services receive and will work with you to make this happen. Our trainers are happy to come to your home, we have links across the south west for training venues or to combine training in a suitable area to bring parents and carers together. We hold open courses every 6 months (October and April) in Cornwall.
